Install Lync 2010 Mobility Services

The Mobility Service for Lync 2010 allows mobile clients (such as iOS and Android) to connect to Lync servers.

Installation Instructions

Update your Lync Server to CU4 (this can be done via Legacy Update)
Add a CNAME record for lyncdiscover and lyncdiscoverinternal that points to your Lync Front End
Open the Lync Server Management shell and run the following (replacing lync.domain.tld with your Lync server’s domain):

Install-CsDatabase –Update –ConfiguredDatabases –SqlServerFqdn lync.domain.tld –ExcludeCollocatedStores
Set-CsWebServer -Identity lync.domain.tld -McxSipPrimaryListeningPort 5086
Set-CsWebServer -Identity lync.domain.tld -McxSipExternalListeningPort 5087
Enable-CsTopology
Import-Module ServerManager
Add-WindowsFeature Web-Server,Web-Dyn-Compression

Download McxStandalone.msi and place it in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Lync Server\Deployment\cache\4.0.7577.0\setup
In the Lync Server Management Shell, go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Lync Server 2010\Deployment and run .\Bootstrapper.exe
Set the reported domain to mobile clients to the internal domain by running Set-CsMcxConfiguration –ExposedWebUrl Internal
Re-generate the Lync certificates in the Deployment Wizard, similar to how it’s done in the normal Lync installation guide (at step 31). Make sure the certificate encompasses the Lync discovery subdomains
